Yes, diabetes is a factor that would cause the patient to suffer from hypoglycemia symptoms. You might wonder and ask yourself “how can a person with high blood sugar suddenly get symptoms of a low blood sugar?” That is complicated right? But think about the treatment that a diabetic person is taking. The insulin helps lower down the blood sugar level. If this is not taken correctly then it will make the blood sugar level so low that it would lead to another blood sugar problem.
Like diabetes, hypoglycemia is also a dangerous condition. That is why is important that a diabetic person should really check his blood sugar level every now and then. If there are new changes, the patient should discuss this right away with his health care provider or his doctor. Always take the insulin at the right time and never skip a meal since it would also trigger hypoglycemia.
